1. The National Seminars known as Vijnana Vaijayanthi are, in a sense, unique events. Eventhough these Seminars deal with a variety of subjects, they have a common focus - human flowering.
2. The Seminar on the logical foundations of the Haridasa Contributions, the method of proof employed by them to demonstrate their logical validity and the implications of their results for self, science and society was highly illuminating. As deliberations in this Indian Epistemology Seminar were in terms of contemporary methodological idioms, students of modern scientific method were able to appreciate the works of these folk philosophers better.
3. The seminars on the architectural heritage of India, the Indian Iconography, Schools of Meditation technique and Chaos Theory generated rich resources in these fields for further research.

ON ASSESSING THE ECONOMIC POTENTIAL OF THE
VEDIC PLANTS OF INDIA
Eventhough there has been a general awareness about the importance of our ancient wisdom and health care, professional scientists engaged in this field, feel that a lot more needs to be done especially in regard to basic research.
To commit huge investments for research has not been perceived as attractive, since clear cut commercial possibilities have not as yet been fully identified. Thus, unless we understand the economic potential, investment R & D shy’s away. In this process ancient wisdom contained in the various Puranas and The Dasa Sahithya gets neglected.
Keeping the above considerations in view Karnataka Haridasa Scientific Research Centre organized this three day National Seminar on Assessing the Economic Potential of the Vedic Plants of India. The event also helped sensitise social groups, espicially those engaged in the problems of woman and children.

VEDIC LITERATURE AND TECHNOLOGY
09-07-2002 to 11-07-2002
There has been in recent years a revival of interest in the Vedic Literature all over the world. A number of scholars have been exploring seriously, the vast Vedic Literature with a view to possibly discovering insightful leads to resolve issues of current concern, given the contemporary context. This three day National Seminar on Vedic Literature and Technology was yet another effort in this direction.
The word Technology has been used here in a very general sense of transformation - a way of transforming inputs into outputs. It is not confined only to material objects ; it may involve human persons as well. Transforming the mind set, mobilizing people for a common cause was also covered under such a broad definition of technology. The deliberations at this seminar, had therefore, a broad spectrum of topics ranging from material science and the concept of machinery to human engineering and aesthetics.

INSIGHT INTO MATERIAL SCIENCE FROM THE VEDIC
Karnataka Haridasas are known for their insightful understanding of the Vedic Literature. They have taught us, among others, that the Vedas and related literature provide invaluable guidance to understand clearly and use appropriately the immense resource of the world of materials. Following this lead Karnataka Haridasa Scientific Research Centre (KHSRC) organised this programme.
The world of materials is very vast, variegated and continuously evolving. We have, therefore circumscribed the scope of the Seminar to focus on three main areas listed below.
i) Material in relation to human welfare at the individual level in terms of food, housing , health, education, means of livelihood and sense of security.
ii) At the macro level, national security, food security and the technological support to serve these two national concerns.
iii) And the third one is related to dwelling a little deeper into the mantras prescribed to ward off various problems people encounter in the process of their living. Vedic literature gives a lot of examples in this regard. In these sessions, scholars discussed the efficacy of some of these mantras.
